In the footage, recorded on Aug. 3, 2025, Stokes angrily challenges two officers who came to his home to take a report for his son’s minor car accident. This video sparked community outrage and led to his resignation Stokes repeatedly instructs the officers on how to do their job, insisting he’ll “deal with this” himself and telling them to “patrol Main Street” instead.
